This book was incredibly powerful. What I took away from it was a sense that all things we experience are due to our current perceptions. We drive it and simultaneously live other realities within our consciousness. This book is great for anyone looking to deepen their spirituality, get in touch with conscious on a grander scale, or to anyone who is curious about metaphysics. Seth has introduced me to a whole other side of myself and the Universe. I am so grateful for his teachings.
Brillant and very life changing. Here are some notes I made that I sent to friends about what it is like to read SETH.After reading SETH SPEAKS Chapter 21, this is even more meaningful to me!! When I read the first of that chapter it was the best thing ever!! I cried......I screamed out to SETH "Thank you, Thank you SETH, that was the most meaningful thing and the best written thing you communicated ever!!" It broke through to my heart and my Being and opened a doorway to the meaning of life more than anything!! And now I understand EVERYTHING I am to do here from this time... on out!!What I think it is like to read SETH:An analogy of what is like to read SETH SPEAKS Is like taking a dive into a hug endless lake and swimming for a long way and suddenly realizing I have gone so far there is no sight of land or I am way too far away to swim safely back. and nothing to reach for safety, and panic begins to set in!! So sometimes I just have to call out for the Spirit of Comfort to come to me and get me back to familiar land for grounding again. It can very scary to read Seth and keep your mental compass intact because it stretches even the most seasoned Spiritual traveler's mind to the limits until you believe you just dropped off the deep end and will never get back!! But I stick with it because the reward of this information is well worth the anguish!! And I have ridden the wave of that anguish until it turns into Ecstasy!! This is not for sissy's and not for those who need teachings that are just sugar and spice and everything nice!! But to think it has taken me years to read him starting and stopping over and over. and get past my comfort zone. Many people just are not ready for it or it is just not something they like. But for me it is a salvation in truly understanding why we are really here!Janie Martin
I read this in my early 20's and didn't understand much of it. I read it again in my 40s and had a lot of "a-hah!" moments, finding clarity regarding a lot of things that had become consistent with my ever-evolving spiritual world view. I just finished a 3rd reread at 60 and again I wonder if the amazing knowledge and insights in this book will ever become a part of mainstream Western religious thought. Two quotes come to mind: "Everything we call real is made of things that cannot be regarded as real" -physicist Neils Bohr; and from another 'father of quantum physics' Max Planck, "I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything we regard as existing, postulates consciousness."
Beautiful reading. In the search for my own answers managed to find this gem. I have studied Buddhism for almost 10 years and this is by far the extension of what I started to learn in Buddhism about reality and mind. Coming from a catholic background going into meditation and changing the idea of god for a belief in the inner self and mind was extreme. This book pushes you off the edge and challenge you with new ideas about our day to day life. Simply Beautiful

What are dreams?To me, the real beauty of any Seth book (and this is a starter) is that there is nothing required of the student. Nope, never in the Seth material. Nada. Seth just wants people to wake up to their full potential and understand physical reality. It really is that plain and simple.Seems to me that if an "energy personality essence, no longer focused in physical matter" wants to share wisdom, the least we can do is listen.He is "aware of some truths that many of you seem to have forgotten" ~ and yes, that is a direct book quote. This is THE book that will bring you some basic understanding of your life, your purpose, and your meaning, but at the same time it will also challenge your believes (personal and religious ones) and open your eyes to the things that are not material.I have been fascinated by every single page, and definitely gained a new perspective on life, people and what happens after death.Being always attracted and intrigued by the topic of multidimensional reality, this book also helped me understand better the topic.It helped me going through some personal challenges and losses and see them through a new point of view, which is more positive and hopeful.Already bought more of Jane Roberts' Seth books and cannot wait to put my hands on them.
I first read this book around 35 years ago and it affected me deeply at a time when I was seeking deeper answers into the mearning of life. If you keep an open mind, it has some wonderful kernels of wisdom. Even in this time, it has relevancy. It seems to me that others have been inspired by the ideas presented in this volume and have gone on to very successful careers as writers and teachers. One idea that lives on through contemporary writers is that consciousness creates the world, not the other way around. That is a shocking concept but one which is worth contemplation, I believe that quantum theory postulates that the observer is very much bound up with what is observed, that you don't really have one without the other. I recommend the book for anyone who likes to ponder such questions. Of course, if you can't tolerate the idea of channeling, then this book is not for you.
